Caity Gyorgy is a JUNO Winning Toronto and Montreal based vocalist, composer, and lyricist who is known for singing bebop and swing music. Caity has performed at popular clubs and jazz festivals across Canada including the Toronto Jazz Festival, the Calgary Jazz Festival, the Medicine Hat Jazz Festival, and the Jazz Bistro in Toronto, Upstairs Jazz in Montreal, and Frankie's Jazz in Vancouver. Caity has worked and recorded with many luminaries in the Canadian jazz scene including Allison Au, Pat LaBarbera, Jocelyn Gould, Don Thompson, Christine Jensen and Virginia MacDonald.
Gyorgy will be supported by guitarist Bill Coon, pianist Miles Black, and bassist Colin Zacharias. Juno nominated artist Bill Coon is one of Canada’s most highly respected musicians and is winner of the 2009 National Jazz Awards, ‘Guitarist of the Year’. Performing professionally for over thirty years, he has played with many significant jazz artists including Jimmy Heath, Chuck Israels, Eddie Daniels, Dr. Lonnie Smith, Bucky Pizzarelli, Sheila Jordan, Hugh Fraser, P.J. Perry, Campbell Ryga, Ian McDougall, Phil Dwyer, Dave Restivo, Brad Turner, Carol Welsman, Fred Stride, Dee Daniels, and Rebecca Kilgore. One of Canada's most accomplished jazz pianists, Miles Black is also an acclaimed arranger, producer, composer, and session musician. He has performed alongside the likes of Mark Murphy, Lee Konitz, Slide Hampton, George Coleman, Scott Hamilton, Sheila Jordan, Chuck Israels, Dee Daniels, Paul Horn, Skywalk, Max Roach, Harry “Sweets” Edison, Maynard Ferguson, Lew Tabackin, Claudio Roditi, Ingrid Jensen, Houston Person, Johnny Frigo, and Von Freeman. Born and raised in the greater Vancouver area, Colin Zacharias has been locally performing a plethora of styles since 2017. His greatest influences on the double bass include Christian McBride, Ray Brown and Dave Holland. Colin graduated with a Bmus from Capilano University in 2022.
